Learning Outcomes

The student knows how to design steel structures in practice, understands the requirements set by the manufacturing process and environment of use for the selection of steel grade and the factors that have an effect on the durability of steel.

Contents

Manufacture of steel, structural steels ans steel products, design principles of steel structures, dimensioning methods, dimensioning of structural elements under normal stress, conventional joints and joint applications, manufacturing engineering of structures ans installations, corrosion protection and surface treatment of structures.
