Learning Outcomes

The student knows the fundamentals of the design, implementation and maintenance of electrical and automation systems in a building. The student is able to interpret designs relating to electrical and automation systems and recognises electrical and automation equopment installed in the building.

Contents

Electrical systems in a building, automation systems and their components. Drwawing symbols used in designs. Legislation and regulations controlling the design, implementation and maintenance. Utilisation of automation in controlling and improving the energy efficiency of the building.

Grade 1: The student knows the contents of the study unit that are relevant in working life.
