Learning Outcomes

The student knows the fundamentals of land and construction surveying. The student is able to interpret the map system, maps, coordinate and orographical systems.
The student knows the functioning of the most usual survey equipment and is able to perform a levelling and a radial measurement using a tacheometer.

Contents

Concepts of surveying, angle units, coordinates, maps, coordnate and orographical systems. Surveyor's level and levelling, tacheometer and basic measurements performed with it.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lectures, map interpretations and demonstrations on survey equipment. Construction survey a detached house as an example.

Grade 1: The student knows the contents of the study unit that are relevant in working life.
Grade 3: The student is able to utilise the information and skills learnt during the study unit.
Grade 5: The student is able to utilise and apply the information and skills learnt during the study unit.
