The student can communicate in English in various communication situations in working life, such as telephoning situations, company and product presentations, telling about one's education. The students understands the professional texts and has a working professional.

Contents
Oral and written communication needed in working life, e.g. telling about education, telephoning, company/product presentation. Professional texts and vocabulary,numerals and mathematical operations; describing graphs and charts.

Contact teaching, home assignments and independent studying.
Assessment Criteria
Grade 1: The student knows the basic vocabulary of the field and understands the main points of texts in the field. S/he can follow work discussions and can give a presentation by reading it from the paper.
Grade 3: The student knows the essential vocabulary and understands the texts in the field. S/he is able to participate in a work-related conversation, with occasional mistakes and errors in the speech.
Grade 5: The student is able to communicate fluently, almost without mistakes, both in speech and in writing. S/he has an extensive vocabulary of the field and understands field-specific texts without difficulty.
