Learning Outcomes
The student learns to design multi-storey dwellings and knows the technical, economical, social, cultural and environmental preconditions of housing design. S/He is able to design a functional and spatial entity on its own locality and understands to assess the quality of the design. The student knows the related legislation.
Contents
Detailed and functional design of different dwelling types and living environments; needs, design principals and objectives of spatial design, measurements, room programs and functionality; design of service spaces; different types of multi-story buildings; the living environment as an entity; design of external spaces; quality criteria and future challenges of dwelling and dwelling design; control of the design process.
