Learning Outcomes

The student is able to design steel constructions and thin wall carriers and specially to be able to consider the characteristics of steel structures, e.g. slenderness in the design of steel constructions.

Contents

Connections and modifications of joints; steel trusses; tube trusses. Structural systems; stiffening of buildings. Basics of design in thin wall carriers and thin wall beams. Design of fire resistance in steel constructions; composite structures.
