Learning Outcomes

The student understands the requirements on a renovation project caused by the functional and technical aging process in relation to the architectural tradition of buildings. He is able to use his knowledge in the building design of a renovation project.

Contents

The historical tradition of buildings, protection of buildings; the aging and deterioration of materials and technical systems; aging of functions of spaces; changes in the use of buildings; design alternatives in renovation and the materials and procedures.

The student participates in lectures and works on real cases of an agreed subject.

Assessment Methods

The student proves his studying efforts in a test and written reports. Numeric assessment.
