Learning Outcomes
The student understands even more difficult language used in the professional field and is able to produce oral and written professional language needed in the engineer's work, such as trade fair situations, process description, e-mails and business correspondence.
The student can draw business letters and business e-mails in English. S/he understands texts on his/her field of study. The student can write a process description and instructions. S/he knows meeting and negoatiation terminology in English.

Contents
Oral and written communication of the professional field, e.g. business correspondence, presentations (e.g. in trade fair situations, describing a process), production of engineering field texts; terms and vocabulary of the professional field.

Contact teaching, home assignments and independent study.
Assessment Criteria
Grade 1: The student knows the basic vocabulary of the field and understands the main points of texts in the field. S/he can follow work discussions and can give a presentation by reading it from the paper.
Grade 3: The student knows the essential vocabulary and understands the texts in the field. The student is able to participate in a work-related conversation, with occasional mistakes and errors in the speech.
Grade 5: The student is able to communicate fluently, almost without mistakes, both in speech and in writing. S/he has an extensive vocabulary of the field and understands field-specific texts without difficulty.

Exams, continuous assessment and active participation in contact teaching or portfolio assessment.
