Learning Outcomes

Studies of mathematics aim at giving the student the mathematical skills she will need in her studies and in her working career after graduation. In most professional subjects mathematics is needed in various calculations, and the use of mathematical methods requires the understanding of basic mathematical principles. After graduation, the student must be able to apply mathematics in various tasks in her future career, she must be able to understand written professional texts of her field, including mathematical notation, and she must be able to communicate fluently with other professionals working in her field. Any engineer must have some level of understanding of the mathematical methods used in engineering.
