Learning Outcomes
The student will learn terms and basic methods used in cost estimating and pricing construction projects.
Contents
Cost formation, nomenclature systems, cost estimation methods, cost estimation during design or construction. Quantity takeoff, using standards, databases and specifications; and determining the work crews required to execute the job. In addition, some topics will include explanation of the construction methods involved. Target cost method. Additional work estimation and pricing and disturbance effect. Defining the bid.
