Learning Outcomes

The student will learn to design basic wood structures and wooden prefabricated element structures and to know the modern structural systems, components and joint details.

Contents

Design principles of wood structures in different load situations, design methods, solid wood products. Joints, splices and structural systems. Prefabricated wood structures, assembling on site, glued laminated timber structures, plate structures, stiffening of wood frame buildings.
