Learning Outcomes
The student is able to consider the special features of component buildings and to design prefabricated concrete units. The student is able to combine the design of details of components and the overall design of the whole building with each other as well as to consider the economic, functional and durability aspects.
Contents
Basic principles of prefabricated concrete structures. Types of units. Function of the prefabricated buildings. Quality of component building and design. Design of prefabricated units and tolerances. Skeletal systems. Joints and details. Transport and installation of prefabricated units.
