Learning Outcomes

The student improves the skills to design steel structures and can design challenging steel structures.The objective is to achieve the designer qualification in accordancw with class AA o the part of steel structures.

Student's Workload

The student's total work oad 108 h of which scheduled 32 h.

Contents

Design of steel structures in accordance with the Euro codes. Stability of steel structures, the significance of buckling, transverse buckling and buckling of a plate on the strength of the cross section. Sheet metal structures. The overall stability of steel buildings. Welded and screwed joints and joint applications. The dimensioning of fire protection for steel structures.
