Learning Outcomes

The objective is to strengthen the skills in designing wood structures. The student can perform the stability (buckling and transverse buckling) and the dimensioning of overall strutting of a building in accordance with the Euro codes. The student can dimension robust wood structures and timber joints and define a fire classification. The objective is to reach the qualification in accordance with classification AA in designing wood structures.

The student's total work load 108h of which scheduled 32 h.

Contents

Dimensioning stresses in accordance with the Euro codes. Buckling and transverse buckling. Overall strutting of a building. Joints. Fire classification.
