Learning Outcomes

The student will deepen his/her skills in designing concrete structures and is bale to design challenging concrete structures. The objective is to achieve qualificatiosn in class AA regarding concrete structures and technology.
The student deepens the knowledge in concrete technology receices the readiness to design challenging concrete structures and act as a supervisor in challenging concrete work.

Structural Mechanics

Contents

Regulations and instructions related to the design of concrete structures. Design of challenging concrete structures, manufacture and erection. Risk analysis of concrete structures. Ingredients of concrete and their properties properties of fresh concrete and possibilities to manipulate them. Definiton and manufacture of self-sealing concrete and high-strength concrete. Properties of set concrete and how to study them. Durability of concrete structures. Quality of concrete construction.

Will be announced at the beginning of the study unit.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The study unit is implemented as multiform instruction, exam calculation exercises and assignment.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 1: The student knows the contents of the study unit that are relevant in working life.
Grade 3: The student is able to utilise the information and skills learnt during the study unit.
Grade 5: The student is able to utilise and apply the information and skills learnt during the study unit.
