Learning Outcomes

The student will know technologoes used in open and closed-loop control systems. The focus is on electro-mechanical electro-hydraulic servosystems and their feedback methods. The student learns to program logics for motion control as well as equipment used in process automation.
The stuent will learn the fundamentals of field buses and control room operations.

Contents

Components, structure, function and applications of stepless electrohydraulics. Function, components, dimensioning, feedback sensoring of hydraulic, pneumatic and electro-mechanical servo system, control technology and excitation.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lectures, programming exercises ifor various applications in groups in the laboratory, the common core project and vehicle will be used as reference in theory and laboratory exercises.

5: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently and is able apply the learnt knowledge in new contexts.
3: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently.
1: The student is able, with guidance, to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit.

Assessment Methods

Activity in the exercises and project, exam. Assessment on scale 1-5. Approved laboratory exercises a requirement.
