Learning Outcomes
A student becomes familiar with the functions of VAMK, Univeristy of Applied Sciences, learning environments and learning society as well as his/her own view of profession. A student understands a structure of his/her own degree program, its requirements for the graduation and learns how to make his/her self-study-program and follow it. A student learns how to use information searching and information services. Also he/she learns to use eLearning environments used in VAMK.

Contents
Virtual learning environments and other support functions at VAMK (use of WebCT and Moodle, Winha, PCs and networks, study guiding, student aid, health care, sport services, international affairs, eLearning and student union). Own view of the profession, own study program and different studying methods. Library services and information search systems. Entering interview and conversations of progress in studies.

Study Guide, web-pages of VAMK, University of Applied Sciences, materieal provided by the library and other material delivered by a teacher.
Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
Contact teaching. Guest lectures. Development discussions with the team coach teacher. participation in the team day.
Assessment Criteria
The course is accpted after all the development assignments have been done, the student has participated actively in the contact teaching as well as in the team day and the student has had development discussions with hsi/her team coach teacher.
