Learning Outcomes

The student will be familiar with a state-of-art NC machine, its structure and the operation principles of the control system. The student will be able to write, read and edit programs written in ISO code or dialog code.

Contents

Components of a NC machine tool, co-ordinate systems and operations. Operation of Heidenhain 426, i530 and Fanuc 10T control systems. Creating different program structures. Printing, saving and transferring programs to the machine tool.
