Learning Outcomes

The student learns the methods of conceptual design. He/she learns to apply the different skills of the studies in an industry based energy technology product development project.
The student learns to use 3D-modeling and product documentation to a real product.
The students shall learn interaction and literary communication with experts working in the industry, partly in Swedish language.

Contents

The following subjects are included in the study module: 3d modeling and product data management, Probabilistic calculations, The physical basis of energy technology, Oral and written communication, Technical Swedish, Product development and design project 1.

Learning material indicated at each subject belonging to the module.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

Lectures and assignments, independent work, work reports and a project which is carried out as teamwork.
The theoretical basis of the module will be studied in the subjects belonging to the module by means of lectures and assignments. The lessons and the assignments will be linked to the ongoing project. For instance, in the course of Swedish language the students will report the project proceeding in Swedish.

Assessment Criteria

5: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently and is able apply the learnt knowledge in new contexts.
3: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently.
1: The student is able, with guidance, to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit.

Assessment Methods

The subjects belonging to the module shall be graded individually 0-5.
