Learning Outcomes

The student knows how to produce, distribute and acquire technical information in the different phases of product design process : concept design, detail design, analysis, production and assembly planning, manufacturing. He/she will appreciate the importance of project team work and data management. The student will recognise the constraints in design set by manufacturing and assembly process.

The benefits of and need for simultaneous design. The elements of simultaneous engineering, their introduction and utilization. Information flow in a design process. Design project work.
