Learning Outcomes
The student will have a knowledge of sensors used in machine automation and process technology. He/she will be able to select them and connect them to the control systems. The study unit will also give an insight into bus techniques and its applications in automation.

Contents
Modern sensors in machine and process technology, their interfaces to different control systems, the technical properties, selection and installation of sensors. Factors affecting the measuring resolution. The use of the field bus in connection of sensors and operating equipment.
