Learning Outcomes

During Practical Training, the student becomes familiar with her own professional field and different kinds of work positions in it. She does this by applying theory and practice at different working environments, and she becomes familiar with the concepts of her field. Practical training increases readiness and motivation to study in her own field, and helps in developing professional skills. The student gets acquainted with the organizational activities and culture of the working place, as well as sharing of the work and social relationships at work. Further, she will learn how to work as part of a larger working community.

Student's Workload

30 credits, corresponding to 20 weeks of full-time work (8 h/day). In addition, reporting according to the instructions is required.

Prerequisites / Recommended Optional Courses

First-year studies.

Assessment Criteria

Pass/fail. The student governs the rules of working life, and she is able to work in her own field. She understands the competence levels of different kinds of work positions and is able to estimate her own level of competence.

Assessment Methods

A report written on the practical training period.
