Learning Outcomes

Student will familiarize to structure of power transmission network and power distribution automation and also familiarize to devices used for protection and control of distribution automation networks.

Contents

Use of devices such as protection relay and frequency transformer. used communication protocols and basic knowledge of IEC-61850 standard.

IEC61850 standard.

Lectures 35 h, exercises 25 h, project work 24 h.

Assessment Criteria

1: The student is able, with guidance, to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit.
3: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently.
5: The student is able to utilise the methods learnt during the study unit independently and combine the knowledge with previously learnt in various contexts.

Assessment Methods

Assignments 60 % and an examination 40 %.
