Learning Outcomes

The student will be introduced to the design of electronic Printed Circuit Board (PCB) and to the mechanical as well as electrical constraints related to the PCB fabrication. The student must also learn the CAD systems operating in microcomputers and get familiar with the characteristics of CAD programs and their use.

Student's Workload

The total amount of student's work is 108 h, containing 56 h of scheduled contact studies.

Contents

- PCB design process using CAD
- Physical Characteristics of PCB
- Electrical and mechanical Design Parameters
- Controlled impedance in PCB design.
- Use CAD programs to create new symbol libraries
- Design tasks with CAD.
- Additional operations, such as web based information management and reporting.
- CAD projects
