Learning Outcomes
The student becomes familiar with the Periodic Table of the Elements and classification of matters. The student knows chemical reactions and phenomena connected with combustion and electrochemistry.
The student understands the constraints caused by industry to the environment and the necessity of minimising the constraint. The student is aware of the recent European environmental legislation affecting electric industry, namely EuP, WEEE and RoHS.
Student's Workload
The total amount of student's work is 81 h, which contains 42 h of contact studies.
Contents
Periodic Table of the Elements, classification of matters, chemical reactions, oxidation and reduction, acids and bases, electrochemistry, EU environmental legislation.
