Learning Outcomes
The mathematical skills of the student will be raised to a level which ensures the student's ability to start her/his studies of technical Mathematics and Physics without any major problems.
Contents
Basics of first order equations, second order equations, groups of equations, rules of calculations, geometry, trigonometry, graphical representation, proportionalities, per cent and per mille, function and its derivative, vector calculations, kinematics and conversion of units.

Mode of Delivery / Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods
The student will become familiar with the basics of Mathematics and Physics with VirtuaaliAnkka.exe during the lectures in a classroom, as well as at home by using her/his own computer and the communication network. During the course, the student will solve 70 exercises, mostly in the classroom with the help of the lecturer.
Assessment Methods
The course of lectures will be followed by an examination, which is based on the exercises solved during the course.
