The student will get familiar with concepts related to congress tourism and understands it as a part of meeting and hotel functions. The student is able to manage congress and reckon with auxiliary services.

Contents
Basic concepts of meetings and congress tourism, the meaning of meeting and congress tourism as a part of hotel and tourism business. Conference and meeting hotels and conference centres. Selling conference facilities, arrangements for meeting and conferences and customer service, evaluation and development of meeting and conference products.

Satisfactory 1
The student has a general view of congress activities and he/she knows how to find information about services connected to arranging congresses. He/she knows how to make quotations and bids according to the customers' needs.
Good 3
The student is able to carry out price surveys, compare the costs involved in arranging congresses and he/she can choose the best suited alternatives for different target groups.
Excellent 5
The student masters all the phases included in arranging congresses and he/she is able to take into account the needs of participants coming from various cultures.
