Learning Outcomes

To deepen knowledge on waste and waste management as a part of national and inrternational management of material flow.

Student's Workload

Total work load 135 h, of which
- scheduled studies 70 h
- autonomous studies 65 h
The assessment of student’s own learning 1 h is included in contact lessons.

Contents

Control of waste management. Management of municipal, industrial and toxic waste. Origin of waste and prevention of waste. Waste treatment methods. Landfills and suitability of waste for landfills. Utilising ICT in waste management.

Grade 1: The student knows those subjects of the course, which are necessary for the forthcoming studies and working life.
