Learning Outcomes

The student can write business letters and professional e-mails in English. S/he understand texts in the field and knows vocabulary in the field as well. S/he can also describe a process in English and write instructions. The student also knows the necessary vocabulary and phrases to act at meetings and negotiations. The student can also write a job application and CV.

Assessment Criteria

Grade 5: The student is able to communicate fluently, almost without mistakes, both in speech and in writing in work-related situations. S/he has an extensive vocabulary of the field and understands field-specific texts without difficulty. The student can produce a well-structured and almost faultless project report.
Grade 3: The student knows the essential vocabulary and understands the texts in the field. S/he is able to participate in a work-related conversation, with occasional mistakes and errors in the speech. The student is able to produce a project report or an abstract for it using.
Grade 1: The student knows the basic vocabulary of the field and understands the main points of texts in the field. S/he can follow work discussions and can give a presentation by reading it from the paper. The student is able to produce a satisfactory project report, or an abstract for it, using a template.
