Learning Outcomes

The course aims at introducing the student to the Finnish society and culture with all their various forms and activities. They will become familiar with the Finnish political system and with the Finnish school system, and will learn how to cope with Finnish people. After the course, the student knows about the most important laws from their point of view, and understands the responsibilities and rights of Finnish citizens, refugees and students who have come to Finland from abroad.

54 h, which contains scheduled contact studies and individual work.

Contents

The Finnish political system and the structure of the Finnish school system, the relevant laws, different types of leisure activities, an overview to the Finnish culture.
