Learning Outcomes

After completing the course, the student knows the basic pronciples of classical mechanics, understands the contents of Newton's laws and the conservation laws of mechanics, and is able to apply them. The student is able to clculate
The student can calculate practical tasks related to flow mechanics, thermal expansion, thermal energy and heat propagation. The student develops a general view of physics as a science. In addition to theoretical knowledge, they learn to conduct experimental research in a laboratory environment. The student learns to record the measurement results logically and is able to analyze the measured values computationally. In addition, they develop ability to evaluate the accuracy of their measurement results and understands how to approach the results critically.

Student's Workload

Total student workload 135h containing 45 h scheduled contact studies and 90 h of independent work.

Contents

Kinematics (position, time, speed, acceleration), Dynamics (Newton's I, II and III laws), friction, work, power, energy, circular and rotational motion. Elasticity. Pressure, flow dynamics, thermal expansion, thermal energy, heat transfer.
