Learning Outcomes
After completing the course, the student is familiar with some of the basic concepts in chemistry, such as the elements, chemical bonding, states of matter (solid, liquid, gas), amount of substance and chemical reaction.

Contents
Periodic system of the elements, chemical bonding, stoichiometry and chemical reaction, states of matter, solutions and their behaviour. Applications from materials science, energy production and environmental technology.
