Learning Outcomes

After completing the course, the student is able to:

Critically analyse and evaluate the factors influencing population health and well-being, health inequalities, and health risks at local, national, and international levels, drawing on up-to-date research evidence and expert knowledge.

Plan, implement, and evaluate person-centred and multidisciplinary health promotion and well-being interventions and models of practice at the levels of the individual, family, community, and organisation.

Lead and develop health promotion strategies, programmes, and practices, taking into account ethical principles, equity, and economic and societal perspectives.

Utilise indicators and measurement data to assess the effectiveness, quality, and outcomes of health promotion, and use this information for organisational development.

Act as an expert and change agent in multidisciplinary networks, provide consultation and guidance to other professionals, and promote the embedding of good practices and innovations in health and well-being promotion, including at health policy level.
